How are natural made vitamins better than manmade ones?

It is very easy to get carried away with all the hype that surrounds manmade vitamin supplements that are often marketed as better alternatives to natural vitamins. They arealso more easily available and often come in combinations that are not easily available with natural foods. While it is true that artificially manufactured vitamins are a lot cheaper than the natural ones, there are other considerations to look at before deciding on the type of product that is best suited for the needs. Listed below are:
- Side effects: Artificially manufactured vitamins are nothing but synthetically modified chemicals. The molecular composition is similar to the counterparts in the natural vitamins world. This synthetic composition comes added with other unwanted chemicals. These chemicals, when ingested, react with the chemicals in the body to produce unwanted side effects. These side effects are detrimental to the body and cannot be avoided in some cases. natural vitamins do not have any side effects and unless ingested in large quantities, do not harm the body. Synthetic vitamins also have a shelf life and upon expiry, can only be destroyed. Nature made vitamins can be reused and do not get wasted.
- Purity: nature made vitamins are extracted from natural resources and are often the purest forms of the vitamins. Even if there are other additional substances in the extracts, they are mostly organic material that do not effect adversely when ingested. Synthetic vitamins are compositions that have other manmade chemicals that invariablyreact adversely and can cause unwanted reactions. The reason for ingesting vitamins in their extracted form is to ensure that the body gets the required amount of vitamins and if they cause side effects, the purpose is not entirely fulfilled.
- Absorbable: Manmade vitamins are chemicals that do not get broken down easily. The human body needs diluted and broken down form of vitamins for easy absorbability. Artificial vitamins take more time to be made absorbable and as a result, end up spending more time inside the digestive track in their more solid form. Sometimes, these vitamins can be rejected and expelled by the body as waste because they stay undigested for a long duration. The body ends up not getting the required nutrients. Nature made vitamins does not have this complexity as they are easily broken down and absorbed by the body. Staying in their original form for a longer duration also does not produce negative effects.
